At the Haworth Water Treatment Plant, UWNJ replaced the existing sodium hypochlorite system diffusers with a new system providing feed of ‘neat’ sodium hypochlorite while maintaining the flow of plant water downstream to be utilized for mixing purposes, enhancing the reliability and reducing maintenance of the system. A new plant water main was also installed to provide improved supply for both the sodium hypochlorite mixing water and the Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC) system. BS&J designed, permitted, and provided engineering services during
construction.
