In association with Gannett Fleming, BS&J is preparing applications and pursuing approvals for the required permits for the addition of a clearwell, pumping and outside piping improvements at this 36 million gallon per day (mgd) water treatment plant.
Having successfully completed phases one and two, BS&J is preparing the design drawings and specifications for the construction of the third phase of District Metered Areas (DMAs) in the SWNY distribution system. Engineering services during construction will follow later in 2017.
An external visual inspection and inspection of the valve and access vaults were completed by SWNJ and BS&J personnel. BS&J prepared a report evaluating the findings and prioritizing the recommendations.
BS&J completed the Formal Inspections of Oradell Reservoir and Lake Tappan Dams, and the Regular Inspections of Woodcliff Lake and Lambertville Dams.

BS&J is preparing an Asset Management Plan for Suez Water Rahway. Components of the plan include: conducting an asset inventory and condition assessment, establishing the required level of service, identifying critical assets, preparing life cycle costs, developing a long-term funding strategy, and summarizing this information in an asset management report.
Existing shop drawing submittals in BS&J’s files from the original construction in 1968, visual inspection and ultra-sonic thickness measurements in May 2016 were instrumental in assessing the condition of these welded steel pipes. BS&J prepared recommendations for MWC review for continued service.
